This might be the only food challenge in the country that takes place in a village supermarket. The SPAR in Dersingham, near King's Lynn, serves the Sparticus: a two-foot French stick stuffed with a full breakfast and topped with melted cheese. You get 20 minutes to finish it, usually with a few bemused shoppers watching on.

What you'll be eating

A two-foot French stick filled with eggs, bacon, footlong sausages and mushrooms, topped with cheese.

What you win

Finish in 20 minutes and you get your money back, plus your photo in the hall of fame.
