Misterton Chippy's Cod Buster Challenge

Misterton Chippy & Bistro is a village fish and chip shop between Doncaster and Gainsborough, and its Cod Buster is a fish supper on a giant scale. A 32oz battered fish comes with four big portions of chips and every sauce and side you could want, around 4kg in all. You've got 40 minutes to clear it.

What you'll be eating

A 32oz battered fish with four large portions of chips, four slices of bread and butter, beans, mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy.

What you win

Finish within 40 minutes and the £25 meal is free, plus a winner's T-shirt.

The challenge needs 24 hours' notice, so ring ahead to book. The chips are the real battle, so get stuck into them while they're hot.
