Texas Tavern's Super Grizzly Burger Challenge

Texas Tavern is a Wild West themed restaurant in Guadarrama, in the mountains north-west of Madrid, and its Super Grizzly has been beating people since around 2012. A whole ciabatta loaf holds 900g of beef with cheese, bacon and all the trimmings, and fries bring it to 2.75kg. About 1,400 people have tried it and only around 4% have won.

What you'll be eating

The Super Grizzly Burger: 900g of minced beef with melted cheese, onion, bacon, pickle, tomato, lettuce and sauces in a whole ciabatta loaf, with fries.

What you win

Finish within an hour and you win a commemorative T-shirt and a free dinner for two. The challenge costs €40.

Before you go

You must be 18 or over with ID and sign a waiver. No toilet breaks, no dunking the bread and no hiding food. Bookings by phone only.
